PRE ENGINEERING

Students in the Pre-Engineering program will be introduced to the methods and skills used in the industry while exploring engineering disciplines such as; mechanical, structural, civil, and electrical. In this course students will use the engineering design process, applying math, science, and engineering standards to hands-on projects that solve real world problems. Students will work together to identify problems and generate solutions, communicate solutions, and test and implement them. Students will engage in hands-on experience using industry-standard CAD software. Emphasizing both additive and subtractive manufacturing techniques to enable their projects to come to life through rapid prototyping methods like 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC machining.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • Understanding of industry safety practices

  • Nature and scope of engineering

  • Project management and collaborative skill development.

  • Problem-solving and the engineering design process

  • Materials and material testing

  • Design and create prototypes

  • CAD and 3D modeling programs

STUDENTS WHO COMPLETE THE  PROGRAM prepare students for entry into a college-level engineering or engineering technology program. Ensuring that students acquire essential skills in contemporary engineering practices.
